POLICE ARREST TWO MEN FOR ALLEGEDLY CHILD TRAFFICKING & MURDER IN ABIA

Police in Abia State have arrested two middle aged men for their alleged involvement in child trafficking and murder of a young lady at a hotel in Aba

Parading the suspects in Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Janet Agbade, said that the men were arrested at various locations through tip off.

She noted that the suspects, Chimaobi kalu and David Orji, connived with the third person now at Large, and killed one Chimhurunaya Udeh from Edda in Ebonyi state and made away with her eleven months old baby boy.

Mrs. Agbade stated that the ugly incident took place in a hotel room in Aba on April 2022.

Mrs. Agbade further said that it was during interrogation that the suspects confessed to have drugged their victim before allegedly killing her in the hotel room.

In an interview, one of the suspects, Chimaobi kalu from Bende Local Government Area and a commercial motorcycle operator, confessed being involved in murder of the victim, stating that they later sold the victim’s baby boy for the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand naira.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects included broken glass cup, black material soak with oil paint and CCTV footage in a flash drive.
