MAN BURNT BEYOND RECOGNITION IN OWERRI

An unidentified middle aged man has been burnt beyond recognition by unknown persons and his body dumped at Umuhu Junction on the Owerri-Umuahia Road.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the incident happened in early hours of Tuesday (21/06/22).
Speaking with the immediate past Umuhu Community leader, Mr. Boniface Ikwuazu, said they woke up to behold the scene.
Mr. Ikwuazu said that the community had checked and nobody could identify who the victim was, what he did or who killed him.
He appealed to relevant government agencies to assist to evacuate the corpse as it posed a health challenge to the community.
When contacted on telephone, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Imo State Command, Mr. Mike Abattam, advised the community to report the development to nearest police Divisional office.
