SALLAH MESSAGE: GOV IKPEAZU TASKS MUSLIMS TO PRAY FOR PEACE, PROMISES FREEDOM OF RELIGION

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has congratulated the Moslem Community in the State on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast, which is one of the pillars of the Islamic religion.

In his Sallah Message, Governor Ikpeazu charged them to make the lessons of the Ramadan a permanent part of their lives.

According to the Governor, Ramadan is synonymous with the lessons of sacrifice, forbearance, tolerance, self control, love for others and peace, which are critical elements required for a united and peaceful life.

Governor Ikpeazu tasked the faithful to use the period to pray for the sustenance of peace and security in the state and the country.

He assured that his administration would continue to uphold the Rights to Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion of all citizens.
