AFTER FIVE MONTHS GOV UMAHI LIFTS SANCTION ON PAYMENT OF SALARY OF WORKERS FROM WARRING COMMUNITIES IN OHAUKWU LGA

Ebonyi State Government has lifted the suspension of salary payment to civil servants from warring Ezza Effium and Effium communities in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Umahi lifted the suspension during the state Executive Council meeting at Government House Abakaliki.
He directed that the withheld salaries of workers running into five months be computed and paid, emphasizing that the decision was in view of de-escalated hostilities in the war torn Effium.
Governor Umahi noted that the state government had released the monitary value of promotion arrears to deserved civil servants.
He directed Local Government Chairmen in the state to do same for workers in the Council Areas.
