I WILL DEDICATE MY FIRST YEAR SALARY TO CONSTITUENCY DEVELOPMENT, IF ELECTED INTO SENATE–UZU OKAGBUE

Deputy Chief of Staff to the immediate former Governor of Anambra State Governor, Uzu Okagbue, has declared his intention to vie for the Senate, to represent Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Mr. Okagbue made this known while declaring his ambition to party faithful in Umunachi, Dunukofia Local Government Area of the state.

Mr. Okagbue, who is vying under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), would be contesting for the party’s ticket with a former National Chairman of APGA, Senator Victor Umeh, alongside the member currently representing Njikoka, Anaocha, Dunukofia at the National Assembly, Mr Dozie Nwankwo.

Declaring his interest, Mr. Okagbue promised to dedicate his entire first-year salary to the development of 58 communities in his constituency.

He maintained that he would target laws that would make it easier for people to do more business, make more money and develop his constituency as well as sponsor progressive bills that would improve the ease of doing business for the people in the district.

He further promised to collaborate with his vast network to promote entrepreneurship among his people.

“Imagine children from this district founding companies that will attract international funding in three to five years,” the aspirant envisioned.

Mr. Okagbue also stated that if elected, he would ensure that the National Assembly and the state House of Assembly synergize to achieve a common goal, saying that the people required a dramatic departure from the unworkable old ways and embrace the dynamism of digital age.
