ENUGU LG POLL GOING ON SMOOTHLY —ENSIEC BOSS

The Resident Commissioner of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commision, Dr. Mike Ajogwu, says elections in the seventeen local government areas and two hundred and sixty wards in the state is going on smoothly.
Dr. Ajogwu, who spoke with Radio Nigeria shortly after his supervision of the conduct of the election in some polling units and wards in Enugu, gave a nod at the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
Dr. Ajogwu said reports from election monitors and ENSIEC officials stationed in all the local government areas affirmed peaceful and hitchfree exercise so far.
Radio Nigeria observes that there is heavy presence of security agents at the ENSIEC headquarters while the results are expected to be turned in from returning officers later in the day for onward declaration by the ENSIEC boss.
