AUTO CRASH CLAIMS 4 LIVES IN EBONYI

A collusion involving a Sienna Bus with registration number KPU 537 YE and a Water Tanker with registration number ENU 282 XT has claimed four lives at Nkalagu axis of the Enugu- Abakaliki Highway.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ebonyi State, Mr. Anthony Okore, told journalists that the Water tanker was trying to avoid a pothole when it collided with the Sienna Bus returning to Abakaliki from Lagos.

He explained that the accident also involved two motorcyclists who died instantly on the spot while some passengers in the vehicles sustained various degree of injury and were rushed to the hospital.

Mr. Okore said another accident involving a truck loaded with garri also occured at Ezamgbo Junction of Enugu Abakaliki Highway on December 31, 2021 but stated that no live was lost in the incident.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the incident caused grid lock on the spot as FRSC officials struggled to clear the crashed truck from the road.
