GOV UMAHI RECALLS SOME SUSPENDED PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS, WITHHOLDS SALARIES OF HEALTH MINISTRY STAFF

Ebonyi State Government has recalled all public office holders and workers it suspended for sundary offences except those from Effium and Ezza Effium extraction.

Governor David Umahi announced the lifting of the suspension during the state End of the Year Thanksgiving Service at Government House Abakaliki.

He explained that the lifting of the suspension was in the spirit of Christmas, noting that one of them, the Auditor General of the state, was among those recalled and would be confirmed substantively.

The Governor, however, announced the withholding of salaries of Public Office Holders and workers in the state Ministry of Health until General Hospitals in the thirteen Local Government Areas were tidied up.

Governor Umahi said he would complete all ongoing projects before the end of his tenure in 2023.

The Chaplain Government House, Pastor Eunice, Oyeyemi attributed the developmental strides of the present administration to the Governor holding unto Jesus Christ.
