POLICE ON TRAIL OF KIDNAPPED IMO TRADITIONAL RULER, EZE MADUMERE

The Imo State Police Command says it is on the trail of the abductors of the traditional ruler of Ezi-Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, Eze Henry Madumere, who was kidnapped by gunmen on Friday.
The Monarch, who is the father of a former Deputy Governor of the state, Prince Eze Madumere, was taken away by suspected criminals amidst heavy gun fire at Iho in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state, which shares boundary with Mbaitoli.
Spokesperson for the Command, Mr. Mike Abattam, who confirmed the incident to journalists, said efforts were on to rescue the royal father unhurt.
The former Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, said the abductors of his father had contacted the family.
