SOME PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS IN ABIA STATE GET FREE WHEEL CHAIRS

NYSCThe National Youth Service Corps has donated wheel chairs to some physically challenged persons in Abia State. In a message to the presentation of the wheel chairs to beneficiaries in Umuahia, Abia state, the Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Sule Kazaure said it was part of the community development services of the scheme.

Represented by the State Coordinator, NYSC Abia State, Mrs Francesca Ifon, General Kazaure stated that the donation of the wheel chairs would alleviate the sufferings of the needy in the area. While congratulating the beneficiaries, General Kazaure advised them to make proper use of the items.

In a remark, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in the state, Lady Chinedu Brown represented by a Director in the Ministry, Mrs Esther Obinya commended the donors of the wheel chairs for the gesture noting that it would go a long way in assisting the beneficiaries. One of the beneficiaries, Miss Ndidi Akomas thanked the NYSC and the Grace Project International for donating the wheel chairs stating that it would assist her in movement.  Three persons benefited from the gesture.
