ENUGU JUDICIARY TAKES STEP TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

ali2In a bid to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the Judiciary, the Enugu State Judiciary has embarked on a four-day training programme for judges in the area. Declaring the exercise open at the Enugu State High Court, the Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in a message re-affirmed his administration’s commitment to the ideals of the Judiciary.

The Governor, represented by the Deputy, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo emphasized the need for separation of powers in the country, adding that the judiciary played a very important role in democracy. She restated the state governments determination in ensuring that the arm of government stood firmly to enable it to discharge it’s duties creditably.

In an address, the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Priscilla Ngozi Emehelu while highlighting the topics to be treated in the training, noted that the programme would enhance productivity in the administration of justice in the society. A participant, Justice Harold Eya and  the Acting Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mrs Linda Okibe said the workshop was crucial and would help improve Justice Delivery in state.

The theme of the workshop is “Promoting Excellence in Administration of Justice.”
