REACTIONS CONTINUE TO THRAIL THE INTRODUCTION OF A NEW PENSION LAW IN EBONYI STATE
The introduction of a new Pension Law in Ebonyi state has continued to generate reactions with some Civil Servants expressing support to the policy.
Addressing a news briefing at Government House, Abakaliki, a Leader of group of Civil Servants under the aegis of Junior Workers, Comrade Uchenna Uguru described the new Pension Law as a catalyst towards enhancing workers productivity.
Comrade Uguru commended Governor David Umahi for introducing other worker friendly policies such as Rice Loan Facilities, five percent increment on workers salaries and free transport scheme to enable workers to report to their duty posts on time.
Comrade Uguru assured the State Government that workers in the area would continue to support its developmental efforts and enjoined workers to be dedicated to their duties.
Labour Leaders in the State had last week expressed reservations on the new Pension Law and called on the State Government to carry them along in its implementation.
