RANGERS FC SCORE MAXIMUM POINTS, BEAT WIKKI TOURISTS 1-0

Enugu RangersThe week five game of the Nigeria professional football league between Rangers International of Enugu and Wikki Tourist of Bauchi was ground breaking as Radio Nigeria Enugu had live commentary of the match.. The fixture which was held at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu, saw Radio Nigeria’s chief
commentators Andrew Nnebedum, Nduka Obikwelu and Willy Nwanyanwu ensuring sports fans stuck
to their radio sets as they thrilled them with their artistic analysis of the match.
It was a welcome development as fans were taken back to memory of the seventies and eighties
when live commentary of football games was invoke.
Speaking to Radio Nigeria sports correspondent Ntienyong Udoh, football fans in Enugu metropolis said that they were delighted to know that they could once more listen to live commentaries of football matches  on their radio set. Mr Yusuf Usman who was driving from calabar in Cross River state said he was pleasantly surprisedwhen he tuned to 92.9 Coal City FM, Enugu and heard the live broadcast of the Rangers vs WikkiTourists game.
According to him other radio stations should take a cue from radio Nigeria to ensure our localleague is brought to lime light which would bring about private sponsorship and development to sportsin the country.
Rangers international moved top of the Nigeria professional football league table following a slim 1-0 win over visiting Wikki Tourists. Both sides struggled to carve out clear cut opportunities before Aguda scrambled home in the 46th minute against the run of play. Wikki fought hard to get back into the game in the second half, but the flying Antelopes held on for the third win of the season.
The Coal City side are yet to taste defeat in the league since their opening day loss to Kano Pillars.It was Wikki Tourist’s second defeat of the season.
Rangers are now with 10 points from five matches
