POLICE FREE ABDUCTED ELDER STATESMAN, NDUKA EYA

Operatives of the Anti Kidnap Unit of the Enugu State Police Command have rescued an elder statesman andone time Commissioner for Education in the old Anambra State, Chief NdukaEya who was abducted on August, 3, 2017 at Ezillo Street Independence Layout Enugu.

He was rescued unhurt by the operatives through intelligence information and coordinated operation carried out in a forest on the Enugu/Abakaliki Expressway in which one suspect identified as ChibunduAmadi was arrested.

According to a Statement by thePolice Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Mr. Ebere Amarizu, a locally made gun has been recovered from the suspect who is said to be helping the operatives in their investigations.

Meanwhile, the rescued victim has reunited with his family while manhunton other suspects is intensified.
