ONGOING CVR: ENUGU EAST COMMUNITIES TOLD TO PARTICIPATE EFFECTIVELY

The people of Enugu East Local Government have been told to take advantage of the Continuous Voter Registration and get registered to enable them to exercise their franchise during the Local Government Election in the state.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Enugu East, Prince Cornelius Nnaji gave the advice during a town hall meeting of stakeholders and people of the area.

Prince Nnaji commended the State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his efforts to ensure equitable distribution of democracy dividend in the area.

He acknowledged the contributions of women and teachers in nation’s development while announcing that the council would on Friday this week inaugurate a computer center in the area to ensure that the people were computer compliant.

Addressing the people, the speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Edward Ubosi assured them of the present administration’s resolve to ensure equitable distribution of democracy dividend and leadership positions in the state.

Chief Ubosi noted that PDP had come to stay in Enugu State and urged the people to join hands with the government to actualize it’s vision.

In an interview, the PDP Woman Leader in Enugu East, Mrs Caroline Ogbu pledged the resolve of the women to continue to support the government. The town hall meeting attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.
