NRC contract scam: No one indicted will be spared, says Dogara
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara has said that the eight House would not spare any found in the N1.69 trillion contracts scam in the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC.
The Speaker stated this at the commencement of an Investigative hearing by the adhoc committee set up by the House to probe the ‘Ministry of Transport and the NRC on the award of Contracts for Rehabilitation of the Nigerian Railway.
Mr. Dogara said in line with the anti-corruption stance of the present Government and the Legislative Agenda of the House, there would be no sacred cows in the course of this investigation.
He enjoined the Committee not to hesitate to request for referral to the House to cause a bench warrant to be issued against anyone invited but refused to honour the invitation.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee Mr. Johnson Agbonayinma gave the assurance that the probe was designed to primarily let Nigerians know how their taxes were being spent.
