MONTHLY STIPEND OF CORPS MEMBERS IN EBONYI STATE TO BE PRIORITIZED

EBONYI+STATE+MAPEbonyi State government has expressed its readiness to prioritize the payment of monthly stipend to National Youth Service Corps members posted to the area. Governor David Umahi stated this at the end of three weeks orientation course for 2017 Batch A Stream Two NYSC members deployed to the Permanent Orientation Camp in Afikpo.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Mr Charles Akpuenika, the Governor enjoined the Corps members to assist the nation in the fight against corruption as well as divisive tendencies. The Coordinator of NYSC in the State, Mrs Regina Iluebby explained that ninety five percent of the Corps members would be posted to public primary schools for their primary assignment.

Two Corps members said the orientation course had exposed them to various skills and promised to contribute their quota to the development of the state. One thousand eight hundred and one corps members were posted to the state.
