MEGA INDUSTRIAL CLUSTERS TO BE CITED IN SOUTH EAST STATES

South East Governors are to build mega industrial clusters in their states as part of their proposed regional economic integration. The Ebonyi State Governor and Chairman South East Governors Forum, Chief David Umahi made this known while briefing journalists on the outcome of the closed door meeting of the forum.
He said that the governors had adopted an independent power plant project in Aba , Abia State, as a module to serve the region in the proposed integration in the zone. Chief Umahi further revealed that the governors were collaborating with the Federal Government and relevant bodies to ensure the safety of people of igboextraction residing in the northern part of the country.

The governors also pledged their support towards a peaceful gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

Meanwhile, the South East Governors Forum has inaugurated five directors from each state of the zone to man its secretariat in Enugu. The governors observed a minute silence for those who lost their lives in the attack on a church in Anambra State and victims of a collapsed building in Imo State.
