INSTALLATION OF SPEED LIMITER HELPED REDUCED ACCIDENTS DURING YULETIDE – FRSC

Installation of speed limiter by motorists and adherence to highway codes, have been attributed to free flow of traffic and low auto crash at the Ninth Mile axis of Enugu State, during the Christmas and New year celebrations. The Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Ninth Mile Corner, Enugu, Mr. Joel Enweruzo, made this known in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Enugu.

Mr. Enweruzo said that exhibition of professionalism by members of the Corps also led to sanity on the roads during the celebrations. According to him, the Corps embarked on the sensitization of the motorists and the public to the dangers of disobedience to highway rules and regulations.

Mr. Enweruzo commended the Enugu State Government for working on some failed portions of the road, which according to him, contributed to minimal road crash during the festive periods. He however warned that the corps would prosecute any motorist caught causing road obstruction.
