FIRE RENDERS A FAMILY HOMELESS IN EZEMA IMEZI OWA, ENUGU STATE.

fire breakFire has destroyed a  four room bungalow and household items at Imeama Village, Ezema Imezi Owa Autonomous Community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The owner of the house, Mr. Nathaniel Nnabuike, an artisan, told Radio Nigeria that the incident which happened on Wednesday this week between five and seven o’clock in the evening had rendered his family members including his aged mother homeless.

Mr. Nnabuike who said he was not at home when the fire started, attributed it to flame from a candle.

‘’My wife said my small boy carried candle enter inside. The boy came out and was sitting down with her. Within a short time my small boy shouted our house is on fire. Raising her herself to see smoke coming out from window and door. She rushed there to quench it, no way.’’

Mr. Nnabuike appealed to government and public spirited individuals to come to the aid of his family.

‘’I need help, nowhere to stay now. We need food, clothing. We have nothing, all our food have burnt up.’’

In her comment, Mr. Nnabuike’s wife, Oluchi said it was a shocking experience that had brought untold hardship to the family members.

‘’We didn’t remove anything from the house. Everything condemned. I need help. I believe God’’

No live was lost in the incident.
