BLIND MAN GETS JUSTICE FROM COURT

enuguA visually impaired man, Mr. Benjamin Okoh has commended the Nigeria Judiciary for its role towards securing the nation’s democracy and rights of the common people. Mr. Okoh stated this while reacting to the recent ruling by a Customary Court in Amaechi Awkunanaw, over a property located at Ezinata Okpebe Amodo Awkunanaw in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Mr. Okoh explanined that the piece of land in question was the only property left to him by his late father and thanked the Judiciary for protecting the interest of the common man. The President of the Customary Court as at the time of filling this report, Mr. Eddy Chukwebere in a judgment held that the piece of land belong to Mr. Benjamin Okoh and order against any form of intimidation to Mr. Okoh.

Responding to the judgment, counsel to the respondent, Mrs. Edith Ude said that the judgment represents the interest of the people which further projects the Judiciary as the last hope of common man.
