ACCIDENT CLAIMS 8 LIVES IN ENUGU: 7 OF THEM FROM SAME FAMILY
8 persons have been confirmed dead in an accident which occurred at Ugwuonyeama, Enugu Onitsha express way on Sunday.
According to the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the accident which involved a Toyota Car and Toyota Hiace bus belonging to a Mass transit company, occurred at about eight o’clock in the morning.
Mr. Amaraizu said that 7 passengers in the Toyota car that died were members of the same family.
He added that their bodies had been deposited in the mortuary of the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane.
He said four others who sustained injuries in the accident are receiving medical attention, adding that investigation into the incident had commenced.
