OCCUPANTS OF ABAKALIKI MECHANIC VILLAGE COUNT LOSES OVER FIRE INCIDENT
At least seven cars, shops and fabricating machines worth millions of naira have been set ablaze by suspected arsonists at Abakaliki Mechanic Village in Ebonyi State.
Some of the victims of the fire incident told Radio Nigeria that the suspected arsonists carried out the act in the night as they were alerted in the morning that their shops had been burnt down.
It was gathered that the arsonists used fuel and tyres to set the cars, shops and machines ablaze.
The incident occurred barely five days after a faction of National Automobile Technicians Association in the village embarked on violent protest against alleged imposition of a candidate as an Acting Chairman of the Association.
