4 DAY INTER-BRIGADE COMPETITION IN ENUGU ENDS
The 82 Division, Nigeria Army says it will continue to implement its training scheduled to implement skills and techniques. This is to help in realizing the vision of the Chief of Army Staff to build an army that is responsive to its constitutional duties.
The General Officer Commanding the Division, Major General Adamu Abubakar stated this at the closing ceremony of the four day inter-brigade competition for Warrant Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Division. Major General Abubakar who commended the participants for displaying mastery of different skills, said weaknesses observed would be strengthened while areas of strength would be consolidated.
He stated that the training was necessary to combat prevailing security challenges in the country.
The participants were drawn from 34 brigade Owerri, 14 brigade Ohafia, 13 brigade Calabar and the 82 Division Garrison.
High point of the event was the presentation of trophies to brigades that came first in different activities which included weapon handling, map reading, combat swimming and obstacle crossing.
