17 STUDENTS WITH BEST WAEC RESULTS IN ABIA STATE TO GAIN GOVT SCHOLARSHIP

The Abia State Governor, Dr. OkezieIkpeazu, has congratulated students of the state who participated in the 2017 West African School Certificate Examination for emerging as the overall best performers in the result recently released by the Council.

The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Enyinnaya Appolos, applauded the students and their teachers for a job well done noting that his administration would prioritize the welfare of teachers in the State school system.

Dr. Ikpeazu urged the State Scholarship Board to ensure that the best performing student from each of the seventeen Local Government Areas in the State was given tertiary education scholarship to study in any school in country.

The Governor assured that his administration would continue to work hard to ensure that the state maintained its prime position in education in Nigeria.
