SUBMIT TO CHRIST AS YOUR SOVEREIGN KING — BISHOP EZEOKAFOR URGES CHRISTIANS

Catholics in Awka, Anambra State joined their counterparts across christendom to celebrate the feast of Christ the King.

In a message at Saint Patrick Cathedral, Awka, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, urged christians to always allow God’s kingdom to grow in their lives.

Bishop Ezeokafor advised the faithful not to be afraid to work towards the establishment of God’s kingdom in all they do.

He said Christians and leaders should honour and recognize Jesus as their Sovereign King and emulate His total gift of self, perfectly embodied on the cross.

The Most Reverend Ezeokafor also urged Christians to always put their trust in God, in spite of all the hardship currently facing the country.

A large number of Catholic faithful marched through the streets of Awka to celebrate the feast of Christ the King, leading to human and vehicular traffic.
