Rafael Nadal claimed his ninth Monte Carlo master’s title after beating Gael Monfils 7-5, 5-7, 6-0 in the finals.
Nadal who beat Andy Murray in the semi-final recorded his 68th victory from 100 finals on the ATP world tour.
In Men’s doubles; Jamie Murray and partner Bruno Soares were beaten 4-6, 6-0, 10-6 by French pair of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in the Monte Carlo Masters Final.
Jamie Murray remained top of the ATP doubles rankings after his semi-final victory.
