Chairman Enugu State Football Association Calls On Government And Private Sector To Work Together

The Chairman, Enugu State Football Association, Mr. Chidi Offor Okenwa has called on the government, private sector and public spirited Nigerians to work together to maintain the old and build new sports facilities as a propeller to sports development in the country.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, Mr. Okenwa lamented on the poor state of sporting facilities across the nation. He condemned what he described as incessant encroachment by private individuals on lands mapped out for sports development which must be checked.

Mr. Chidi Okenwa pointed out that government also need to engage in sports politics which is the key to better performance in sporting activities.

Mr. Okenwa said that he was optimistic Nigeria would once again rule Africa in sports with the right people at the helm of affairs.
