A former member of the National Assembly, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, has urged the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, to take urgent steps towards addressing the myriads of challenges facing the people of the area.
Addressing journalists in Owerri, Senator Ararume, who was candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in last general election in the state, advised the new governor to accord priority to health care, education and poor state of road infrastructure.
Senator Ararume explained that leaders cutting across various political parties in the state had resolved to throw their weight behind Governor Hope Uzodinma to enable him to succeed.
Senator Ararume appealed to the residents of Imo State to rally round the Governor, whom he said had what it took to salvage the state.
He said as leaders they would not hesitate to offer useful advice to the Governor to ensure good governance.
