PETER ONWURA EMERGES SDP GUBER FLAG BEARER IN ENUGU STATE

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Enugu State has elected Chief Peter Onwura Aniagboso as their gubernatorial candidate for the 2019 general election.

Chief Aniagboso, who emerged from the affirmative votes of the delegates from the 17 Local Government Areas of the State, outlined three key areas of health, agriculture and education to focus on, if elected Governor of the State.
He stated that if given the opportunity, his administration would establish farm settlements and compliment it with housing scheme in rural areas to boost the economy.
While thanking the party faithful for the opportunity given to him, to fly the party’s flag, Chief Aniagboso maintained that corruption could only be checked when government provided the needed social services to the people.

The Chairman of the Electoral Panel, Chief Godson Omenazu, said that Chief Aniagboso, had the leadership qualities to deepen democracy in Enugu State and urged INEC to live up to expectation in the 2019 general elections.

The State Chairman of the party, Mr. John Nwobodo, commended the members for the peaceful conduct of the primaries both for national and State assemblies and encouraged them to continue to support the party.
INEC team, led by Mrs. Ginika Uche Nwankwo, monitored the exercise.
