PDP WINS EZZA NORTH WEST AND EZZA NORTH EAST SEATS IN EBONYI ASSEMBLY

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has declared Mr. Victor Chukwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the winner of Ezza North West Constituency seat in Ebonyi state House of Assembly.

Announcing the result of a March 23 Supplementary Election conducted in the constituency, the Returning Officer, Dr. Emmanuel Agboeze, said the PDP candidate polled 9,792 (nine thousand seven hundred and ninety two) votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Chikaodili Nomeh, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 1,168 (one thousand one hundred and sixty eight) votes.

Also in Ezza North East State Constituency, the PDP candidate, Mr. Friday Nwuho, got 12,118 (twelve thousand one hundred and eighteen) votes to beat his closest rival of the Mr. Jude Chikadibia of the APC.

The Returning Officer, Mr. Uwazie Ik Uwazie, announced that the APC candidate secured 1,474 (one thousand four hundred and seventy four) votes to lose the election.

The Supplementary Election followed the burning of electoral materials by unknown persons in the March 9th Gubernatorial and House of Assembly Elections in the state.
