NIGERIANS URGED TO ASSIST THE POOR THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON
Wealthy Nigerians are advised to use this season of Christmas to extend help to the less privileged in the society.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State gave the advice during a visit to Olilanya Orphanage Home in Emene Enugu.
Represented by the Managing Director, Community Development Project in the State, MrObinnaUzoh, the Governor stressed the need for rich people to assist the poor especially children.
Responding, the owner of the Home, a German,MrsGabriele Ayiri commended the Governor for the visit and prayed God to bless him.
Mrs Gabriele stated that she sold all she had in Germany, invested the proceeds and her saving in the home because of her passion for children.
Items donated to the home include clothes, table tennis board and accessories as well as shoes.
