SPEEDY DISPENSATION OF JUSTICE: Enugu State Judiciary Inaugurates Multi Door Court House& Fast Track Court

Multi-Door Court House and Fast Track Court is a court connected to Alternative dispute resolution process.

Its aim is to provide speedy, cost effective and user friendly access to justice.

It has various options for resolution of disputes within the court system including meditation, reconciliation, early neural evaluation and hybrid processes.

This is why litigants and other stakeholders in the justice sector are enjoined to take advantage of the Court to promote the growth and effective functioning of the justice system through Alternative Dispute Resolution Method.

The Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Priscilla Emehelu gave the advice during the inauguration of the State Multi Door Court House and Fast Track Court in Enugu.

Justice Emehelu explained that the Court House programme was designed to enhance access to justice within the ambit of law.

She further said that litigations now had the enhanced opportunity of exploring the most effective mode of resolving disputes and thanked Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his support towards achieving the project.

Court, Mrs Caroline Etuk said the innovation would minimize delays in justice delivery.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the State, MrMelitusEze advised those in the legal community to embrace the system.

The Arch Bishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Enugu Anglican Communion, Reverend Emmanuel OlisaChukwuma described it as laudable project and appealed for inclusion of retired judges in the court house.

The Enugu State judiciary is the first in the country to inaugurate a Multi Door Court House and Fast Track Court system.
