MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS DRUMS MORE SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT BUHARI’S RE-ELECTION

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, says the outcome of this year’s general election will determine the economic future of the country.

Mr. Onyeama stated this during his grassroots campaign for the re-election of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari at Amagunze, Nkanu East Local Government Area and Amechi in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The Foreign Affairs Minister noted that emergence of any other party would delay the economic growth of the country, pointing out that President Buhari had already laid a solid foundation for the future of the country with his Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, which would be solidified if re-elected.

An APC Chieftain and Director General, Voice of Nigeria, VON, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, described the said alliance between the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo and its Yoruba counterpart, Afenifere in endorsing the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as a deceit to truncate the chances of the South East in producing the president in 2023.

Other APC Chieftains in Enugu State, including Deacon Okey Ogbodo, Chief Anike Nwogo and Princes Ada Ogbu urged members of the communities visited to support candidates of the party to ensure people oriented development in the State.

The campaign team paid a courtesy visit to the Traditional ruler of Amechi-Uwani, Igwe Joseph Ogbodo, who prayed for peaceful electioneering and for the emergence of only leaders that had the interest of people at heart.

The Foreign Affairs Minister has so far visited eight of the seventeen Local Government Areas in Enugu State in continuation of his grassroots campaign for the re-election of President Buhari.
