INEC CALLS FOR COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS FROM MEDIA FOR THE SUCCESS OF 2019 GENERAL ELECTION
The Independent National Electoral Commission Enugu State has called for collaborative efforts from the media and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that registered voters collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVC to make 2019 general election a success.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Emeka Ononamadu who made the call while briefing journalist in Enugu announced that the commission still had over twelve thousand PVC’s yet to be collected at the INEC Office.
The suspension of CVR till after 2019 General election is to enable INEC print the permanent voter’s card as well as make it available for collection
Dr. Ononamadu stated that over sixty one political parties had declared their intention to INEC office at the seventeen Local Government Areas in Enugu State, stressing that the commission will use person to person contact, traditional rulers, churches and inter party advisory council to enable the uncollected PVCs get to their rightful owners.
