GOV. UGWUANYI WINS AT THE SUPREME COURT
Attempt to upturn the nomination of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the 2015 Governorship election in Enugu State has suffered a major setback at the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court in Abuja gave ruling on an application by Senator Ayogu Eze seeking relief against PDP in relation to the Enugu State Gubernatorial Primaries held in 2014.
The applicant sort among other things, an order of substitution to replace the names of plaintiffs at the trial court with new names. The application also sort leave for the applicants to appeal out of time against the judgment of the Court Of Appeal which was in favour of the PDP. The Appeal Court however dismissed the application for lack of merit.
