FACTION FRACAS: POLICE SEAL ENUGU APC SECRETARIAT

The Nigerian Police Force Enugu State Command has condoned off the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to avoid break down of law and order.

This followed fracas at the Party Secretariat on Monday between a faction of the party leadership in the state led by Dr. Ben Nwoye and another led by Chief OkeyOgbodo.

Addressing journalists, the Commissioner of Police in the State,Mr. Danmallam Muhammed advised the two factions to avoid any act capable of breaching the peace existing in the area.

He explained that the Command was not sealing the premises but did not want anybody in the office pending the resolution of the crisis.

The Police Commissioner had ordered the two groups to hold their meetings in different venues.

It could be recalled that APC in Enugu State had been bedeviled with crisis after holdingparallel congresses that produced the 2 Chairmen.
