CHIMAROKE NNAMANI WINS PDP SENATORIAL DISTRICT PRIMARY ELECTION FOR ENUGU EAST

Dr Chimaroke Nnamani has emerged the winner of PDP Senatorial District Primary Election for Enugu East.

He was declared winner on completion of the election which was declared inconclusive yesterday.

The Returning Officer for the election, MrOkechukwuIgbonekwu announced the result of the exercise.

According to the result DrChimarokeNnamani pilled 601 votes, DrChineduNeji 88, Prof David Nkwongene 74 while the incumbent Senator in the district, Prince Gil Nnaji got 69votes.Prince Lawrence Eze 25 votes,OzorGaBAgu 8,and Joshua Mba 4 votes.

In an acceptance speech, Senator ChimarokeNnamani represented by his agent, MrNnoliNnaji thanked the people for their support, promising not to disappoint them.

The Chairman Nkanu West Local Government Council, venue of the election, Mr Henry Okenwa while congratulating Senator Nnamani, commended the delegates for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

Two stakeholders from the area, Reverend Ralph Nwoye and Princess peace Nnaji advised the winner to be magnanimous in victory.
