President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, and terminated the appointment of the suspended SGF, Babachir Lawal.
A statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina, explains that the President also approved the termination of appointment of the suspended Director General National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ambassador Ayo Oke.
According to the statement, the move followed the recommendation of the panel headed by the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, which investigated allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachair David Lawal, and the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, NIA, to terminate the appointment of Mr. Lawal.
Mean while, the new SGF, Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha, was born in Adamawa and attended Hong secondary School, in Hong Adamawa and North East College of Arts and Sciences, Maiduguri Borno State.
He earned Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1979 and was called to bar in 1980.
