BREAKING: POLITICIAN CELEBRATING APC VICTORY SHOT DEAD IN IMO

A wealthy business man and politician from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Mr. Ndubuisi Emenike has been shot dead by a security personnel attached to him.

The incident occurred at the Isiala Mbano residence of the candidate of the APC in the just concluded rerun election for Okigwe North Federal Constituency while celebrating APC’s victory at the poll.

An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Imo State Command attached to the deceased while jubilating for the victory allegedly attempted to shoot in the air but accidentally shot at his principal.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer Imo State Command, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu, said the trigger happy security agent had been arrested while full scale investigation into the incident had been launched.

Late Ndubuisi Emenike was the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for Imo North Senatorial District in the February 2019 National Assembly election.

The incident is coming at a time when the people of the district are still mourning the sudden death of the senator representing the area in the red chambers, Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu.
