APC TALKS TOUGH AS IT COMMENCES ENUGU NORTH SENATORIAL CAMPAIGN
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, has cautioned against thuggery during 2019 electioneering.
He made the comment in a message to the Zonal commencement of campaign of Enugu North Senatorial District of the party.
Mr. Oshiomole was represented by the South East National Vice Chairman of APC, Mr. Emma Enukwu.
Mr. Enukwu emphasized that it was high time Enugu people got connected to the national political grid through the calibre of candidates they chose to run for the election.
Mr. Eneukwu encouraged the people to support President Mohammadu Buhari to be re-elected while describing the APC Gubernatorial candidate, Senator AyoguEze and the Enugu North Senatorial candidate, Chief Eugene Odoh as courageous personalities and achievers.
Addressing the people, Chief Eugene Odoh, who was the former speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and now APC Enugu North senatorial candidate, listed some of his achievements as a legislator during the regime of former Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sullivan Chime.
He promised that the three senatorial candidates of the party would work together to reposition the state when given the mandate.
The APC Enugu West senatorial candidate, Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku Nwagwu and her Enugu East counterpart, Prince Lawrence Eze, who were at Ugwuoye Nsukka, venue of the event, expressed support for Chief Eugene Odoh.
They commended the people for their belief in the party while assuring them that APC government led by President Mohammadu Buhari would improve on the economy, which would be replicated in Enugu State.
For the Guber-candidate of the party, Senator Ayogu Eze, APC would help the people of the state.
The three House of Representatives candidates in the Zone, Chief Ikechukwu Ugwuegede for Nsukka/Igboeze south constituency, Mr. Jonathan Chukwuma for IgboetitiUzo-Uwani constituency and Chief Kentus Eze running forIgboeze North and Udenu Constituency said they were equally thrilled with the huge support of the people.
They promised to ensure effective representation of their constituents if elected.
Some leaders of the party who spoke during the Occasion, Mr. Sullivan Chime, Mr. Okey Ezea and Dr. Ben Nwoye, charged the candidates to remain focused in their campaigns while frowning at the poor state of Enugu Nsukka express road.
