APC GUBER PRIMARIES: SEN OGBUOJI CLINCHES EBONYI TICKET

The Senator representing Ebonyi South in the National Assembly, Chief Sonni Ogbuoji, has emerged the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.

In the party’s Governorship Delegate Primary Election, which took place in Abakaliki, Chief Ogboji polled 785 (seven hundred and eighty five) votes to defeat other eight aspirants.

A former Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, Professor Bernard Odo, came second in the election with 519 (five hundred and nineteen) votes.

Chief Ogbuoji will face the incumbent governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, David Umahi, in the main election next year.
