ADDRESS THE PLIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE THAN BLAMING PREVIOUS GOVERNMENTS – POLITICAL ANALYSTS ADVICE NEW GOVERNMENTS

Elected political office holders at all levels are advised to present their agenda for their first one hundred days in office.

Guests on Political Watch, a Radio Nigeria Enugu Zonal Network programme gave the advice while discussing on the topic “The Expectation of the Citizens within the First One Hundred Days of New Dispensation.”

One of them, a former Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Poverty Reduction, Mr. Godwin Ogenyi appealed to elected public officers to give hope to the electorate by making their plans and programmes public rather than allowing people to speculate.

Another guest, a constitutional Lawyer and a Human Rights Activist, Dr. Tony Ignis Ngene, urged the new government to constitute their cabinets immediately unlike what happened in recent past.

He called on the South East Governors to work together in developing economic potentials by speaking with one voice.

Dr. Ngene advocated attitudinal change across all political parties in providing sustainable leadership to the people.

Also a former Deputy Whip in Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Tony Chukwudi advised governors against working against their predecessors but focus on programmes that would address the plights of the people.

Callers in the programme appealed to the elected public officers to develop a roadmap that would provide succor to the people rather than blaming successive administrators.
