VICTIMS OF FIRE DISASTER AT KENYATA ENUGU TIMBER MARKET RECEIVE ASSISTANCE

The Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Chief Gil Nnaji has donated a five hundred KVA Transformer and cash of two hundred million naira to the Victims of kenyata Enugu Timber Market Fire Disaster. Senator Nnaji who made the donation during a sympathy visit to the affected persons explained that the fire which destroyed seventy shops at the market located within the State Capital had inflicted great pain on the affected traders. Senator Nnaji who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Communication thanked the State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his prompt intervention to the Victims of the fire disaster. Earlier, the Chairman, Kenyatta Timber Dealers Association, Mr Levi Obi said the recent fire incident was the fourth in the series. The fire disaster alleged to have been caused by power surge burnt down seventy shops and destroyed goods estimated at several millions of naira earlier this month.
