TWO KIDNAPPED CHINESE REGAIN THEIR FREEDOM

Police in Ebonyi State have rescued the two Chinese nationals abducted at a construction site about last week in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mrs. Loveth Odah claimed that the two regained their freedom after they were abandoned by their abductors at the boundary axis between Ebonyi and Enugu State.

Mrs. Odah said that the development followed intense pressure put on the abductors by Anti Kidnapping Squad and SARS Operatives of the Nigeria Police.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the two Chinese Expatriates whose names were given as Messrs. Sun Xingin and Wang Quhung were released unhurt and had been reunited with their family members in the State.

Mrs. Odah told Radio Nigeria that as a result of the incident, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Awosola Awotinde, had called for a meeting with all foreign Nationals working in the state to access their level of security arrangements.

The two rescued Chinese Nationals were forcefully seized and dragged into the bush by masked gun men numbering about five.
