TWO DISMISSED NAVAL OFFICERS IN POLICE NET IN ABIA STATE.

NIGERIA_POLICE_BADGE-250x300The Abia State Police Command has arrested two dismissed Navy officers for alleged involvement in car snatching.

Parading the officers and other suspected criminals at the Police

Headquarters in Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police, MrAdeleyeOyebade said that the men were arrested by a Patrol Team from Central Police Station Aba through a tipoff.

He stated that the two suspects, Ibrahim Maza and Vincent Okoro who claimed to be dismissed naval men in company of another suspect IkennaOgbonna also in Police net allegedly snatched a Toyota Lexus jeep belonging to one Kingsley Egwudirobi.

MrOyebade announced that the command had arrested three suspected kidnappers at Obeagwu in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area for alleged involvement in the kidnapping of one Kelvin Chijioke in Aba.

The Police also paraded six suspected members of a cult group known as Blood Tiger Confraternity who have been terrorizing residents of Ndiegoro in Aba.

In an interview, one of the suspects, Ibrahim Maza confessed to have committed the crime.

Items recovered from the suspects include a Toyota Lexus jeep, onelocally made short gun with live cartridges, one pump action gun, a military camouflage, ten GSM phones and a generating set.
