Turnout of voters have been described as impressive in today’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Correspondents Chika Esonwune,Chukwudi Chukwuenyem,Oby Arinze and Enuma Onyechi who are covering Anambra north senatorial zone report that accreditation and voting commenced as early as 8am in many voting points in the area.

According to the team of reporters the process was smooth and peaceful.

However in Ward 5 unit 10 PN Emerah park fegge in Onitsha south, there was delay in the process of accreditation and voting due to malfunctioning of the card reader.

Most of the voters in the polling unit ,expressed disappointment with the electoral process stating that they are been disenfranchised.

In an interview, the assistant polling officer, who preferred anonymity said the SPO had taken the card reader for repairs.

He stated that the process will commence as soon as the card reader is brought back.

Contrary to expectations there was no heavy presence of security men on the road and at the polling stations which obviously resulted in some people relaxing to witness d counting of votes after casting their votes.
