SUSPECTED KILLERS OF A CATHOLIC PRIEST IN IMO STATE ARRESTED

The Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Imo State Police Command have arrested the suspected killers of Reverend Father Jude Egbom of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amucha, in Njaba Local Government Area of the State.

Reverend Father Egbom was shot dead and his vehicle stolen on Monday night along Nkwerre-Anara Road.

Parading the suspects, identified as Chigozie Uzoukwu, and Peter Ochokwu, yesterday, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dasuki Galadanchi, said that the suspects were arrested in Nkwerre last week Tuesday.

Mr. Galadanchi who decried the gruesome killing of the priest disclosed that he activated the Tactical Units of the command to apprehend the fleeing criminals.

He stated that one of the suspects, Ochokwu, was an ex-convict who had spent one year in Owerri prison for alleged involvement in an armed robbery case.
