suspected female kidnapper arrested by Police

The Abia State Police Com­mand says the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the command based in Aba, had arrested a fe­male kidnapper suspect, Ogo­chukwu Ihedioha, a resident of No. 9, Ekwulubia Street, Diobu, Port-Harcourt, River State.
A release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO), Udeviotu Onyeke, said the sus­pect was arrested in connection with the kidnap of a pastor from Clifford Road, Aba2016_05_29_77149 and another female victim abducted on May 11, 2016.
According to the release, the victims had earlier been rescued by the SARS team a day after they were kidnapped.
Their rescue, police said, fol­lowed a tip-off on the existence of a den of kidnappers at Umuokwo Egbere in Omoma council area of Rivers State where they were held captive.
“The suspect and his cohorts however escaped arrest when Po­lice stormed their den”, the state­ment said, adding that a female member of the gang identified as Izuchi Nwaforala was also picked up.
“Police rescued the victims un­hurt and recovered from the den, one Short Machine Gun (SMG) Riffle, and 25 rounds of live am­munitions.
