Former African Footballer of the Year, Samuel Eto’o’s scheduled departure from the Port Harcourt International Airport after featuring in the former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo’s testimonial match on Friday was delayed as his private jet was denied permission to fly out by the authorities.
Although reasons for the development was not clear, sources at the airport said the jet was not given the clearance to fly out of the airport due to issues that bothered on not obtaining permission to land at the airport.
“Eto’o wanted to leave immediately after the match but his plane was not allowed to leave,” according to africanFootball.com
“I’m not sure what exactly happened, but I was told the plane didn’t have permission to land in the first place but it looks like it has been sorted.”
